Family devotions are more than just a time of reading the Bible. It’s a time of connecting with God and each other. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 says, "These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Devos were important as far back as the Old Testament. Not sure where to start? Get a free Keys for Kids or Unlocked devotional and read them together, including the Bible verses. Take turns leading. Include a song, maybe, and prayer. Twenty one days in a row can become habit-forming. Remember, God’s Spirit will guide you. He can’t if you don’t do it.
